Description
Dura Trac Clearspan expanded metal and welded rod Nursery Floors are completely self-supported in all directions. No additional support is needed. The standard outside supporting frame of this self-supported swine floor is 3/16″ x 2″ for all sizes less than an 8′ span, 3/16″ x 2-1/2″ for spans of 8′ and less than 9′, and 3/16″ x 3″ for spans of 9′ and less than or equal to 10′.
The supporting frame and the swine floor are welded together and then completely coated with plastisol. There is no exposed steel, therefore eliminating corrosion concerns. The coating ensures the floors will never feel any colder than the temperature in the room.
Dura Trac floors are designed for traction and the reduction of floor-related injuries. Cleaning is quick and easy, minimizing bacteria buildup. Because pigs are healthier, they will reach market weight sooner. Clearspan Nursery Floors support pigs up to 100 pounds each.
Custom sizes are available. In addition to the swine floor size, other options are available. For one, an open-end design allows for easier alleyway cleaning. Another would be a trap door to access the pit below without removing the complete system.
We recommend the Dura Trac Original nursery floor if you plan on using existing supports.
