The Difference between Dura Trac Clearspan and Original Raised Calf Flooring
Not all raised animal flooring options are the same. But having options is important, especially if you need custom built flooring.
ADA Enterprises holds the trade name for Dura Trac which comes from the combination of the inherent Durability of the product and that they provide enhanced Traction. Innovative Clearspan floors have a strong steel frame surrounding the expanded metal or woven wire, depending on which option you choose.
Additionally, not all installations are the same. That’s why we provide Dura Trac Clearspan flooring and Original Flooring models to ensure you can benefit from an improved flooring experience for you and your animals regardless of the space you’re using our flooring in.
In this article, we will be explaining the differences between the two types of flooring we offer in this category and how you can benefit from raised animal flooring like these from ADA Enterprises.
Because no two installations are exactly the same, we also have an incredible support staff that can help you by answering unique questions or provide pre-installation help to improve your experience working with us.
The benefits of Premium raised animal flooring by ADA Enterprises
The health of your herd is paramount. You want to keep them safe, dry, clean and comfortable. Raised animal flooring can help accomplish those goals.
The floor is built for calves up to 90 days old with a design that protects even newborn hooves and prevents injuries across the board. Kosher veal production and other smaller animal operations can benefit from the improvement in safety for non-full-sized animals.
You can expect heavy duty build quality from every product we offer. These flooring options both provide high weight capacity, and durability that is hard to match in the industry. The polyvinyl coating on the flooring offers traction for animals that may not be surefooted quite yet. Even when exposed to heavy water, these floors drain fast and provide superior footing. Your animals stay clean and dry.
There is no exposed steel thanks to this thick coating, so you won’t experience rust; and you’ll see improved cleaning times and have additional cleaning methods available. Pressure washing and diluted bleach solutions or other standardized industry cleaning options are acceptable.
The history of ADA Enterprises in the Animal Flooring industry
We have an excellent warranty on our agricultural products. Many customers have had our products in place for more than 20 years. The daily abuse inflicted on animal flooring cannot be understated. It needs to be built exceptionally well to withstand the needs of farmers and offer the right benefits to their animals. We’ve been in the plastisol-coated steel animal flooring business since 1974! That means we’ve got actual data about and experience with our products in these types of environments for at least as long as our limited warranty covers.
Some of our earliest customers still have their first flooring purchases from us in service. That’s a testament to the durability and the enhanced benefits for the animals. By the way, we don’t just make flooring products for cattle. We have flooring that is suited to pigs, goats, sheep, ducks and beyond.
The point? ADA Enterprises is a premium provider in this space, and we’ve been in business delivering on promises for a long time. You might even say we have some pretty specialized expertise in design and production of steel raised animal flooring. We have several options to choose from, but below, we highlight the differences between Dura Trac flooring and our Original raised animal flooring.
The Differences between our Calf Flooring Types
No matter which variety of flooring or other products you buy from our company, we offer the same great benefits to you and your animals as we highlighted above, including ease of maintenance, long-term durability and animal safety as a focal point in design and implementation. So no variant will be lacking in these innovative features.
Where the two flooring options diverge is in the implementation of the flooring and how your space is preconfigured, or whether it is a new installation and you desire to use self-supporting flooring.
Our Dura Trac original style flooring is built to utilize existing built -in supports in your facility. They will fit to the requirements of your pre-existing space and the supports or curbing that is in place now. They have the same features from a design perspective as the Clearspan flooring (Durable and with enhanced Traction and easy to clean).
Dura Trac Clearspan flooring is built with the supports as part of the framework. It does not require existing supports and can be built modularly on it’s own without a pre-configured space.
Both of these flooring options come with the expanded metal OR woven wire option, which can further improve the customization of your space.
Some Use Cases for our Flooring products
For facilities that have used other flooring in the past, or which have existing infrastructure for supports will benefit from the customized span of the original Dura Trac raised animal flooring. Our team will work with you to ensure you get “exact fit” flooring that improves installation times and utilizes your existing architecture.
For those that need a more modular approach, have no existing support system in place, or want the premium option in self-supported raised animal flooring, we offer the Dura Trac Clearspan product. It can work in almost any space, and is also custom built to your needs but offers some additional flexibility thanks to the design of the structure.
Again, our team can help you determine which style and options will benefit you the most in your calf or other animal operation. Lean on us to help you improve costs, enhance animal safety and comfort and reduce future maintenance and cleaning costs substantially.
Can you improve your operation using raised animal flooring?
We feel confident that the inherent benefits of the system we produce will improve animal safety and health as well as ease of maintenance and improved disease control. The improved environmental benefits (like warmer, drier footing) and less chance of urine and feces coming in contact with your animals will improve the animal’s comfort.
The ease of installation is an important aspect as well, as most of our products are easily assimilated into a majority of spaces. Our support team can help you understand the simple installation process, and help you determine the best fit.
Improved maintenance, cleaning options and durability over other market options means lower future costs associated with the flooring, and a healthy, easy-to-handle space.
When you’re ready to find the perfect fit for your animal flooring needs, ADA Enterprises can help you find the right solution.
