Customer Spotlight

This month, ADA Enterprises is proud to feature Eagle Creek Colony as our Customer Spotlight. For over 40 years, Eagle Creek Colony has trusted ADA Dura Trac Flooring throughout their hog operations, demonstrating both loyalty and resilience in the face of challenges.

A Farm Rooted in Tradition and Strength

About 55 miles west of Saskatoon, down a gravel road winding through some of the prettiest farmland in western Canada, sits Eagle Creek Colony. Eagle Creek has built its livelihood around hog production, which is sometimes uncertain with a fluctuating market, but one thing has remained steadfast throughout the years, and that is their faith in ADA Flooring, which has been with them every step of the way.

The Beginning: A Strong Foundation

Eagle Creek Colony first installed ADA flooring in the early 1980s when they built their very first sow barn, a 400-head sow farrow-to-finish, which later grew to 600-head. They were first drawn to ADA “because ADA Enterprises offered us an easy-to-clean and keep clean pig-friendly product,” Says Paul Wurz. That first sow barn laid the foundation for a relationship that has lasted more than four decades.

Rising From Challenges

Tragically, that barn had a fire, but Eagle Creek’s colony members didn’t give up, and with the help of suppliers and dealers. Within a year, the barn was rebuilt—and once again, ADA flooring was installed. After just a few years, an additional 500 sow farrow-to-finish was built right beside it. Each barn has ADA Dura Trac flooring in both Farrowing and Nursery, which has certainly proven the product’s durability and reliability.

Looking Ahead: Building for the Future

Earlier this year, Eagle Creek broke ground on building a brand new 1,000-head sow farrow-to-finish, which should go into production in early 2026. “We knew it had to be done with ADA flooring …it’s a great trusted product that has proven itself on our farm,” says Paul Wurz. Eagle Creek went with Welded Rod Creepsides along with the NEW Semi-Solid Cast Iron from ADA to help save feed waste. An option Eagle Creek knew would save them money and time.

A Partnership Built on Trust

Representatives from ADA Enterprises are honored to recognize Eagle Creek Colony as a shining example of resilience and partnership in the swine industry.

“We are proud to have worked alongside Eagle Creek Colony for over four decades, and they have shown us their trust in our products. Eagle Creek Colony is just one example of farms that make serving the pork industry a joy,”  – Josh Couch, Swine Sales Manager for ADA Enterprises.

“It’s an honor to earn the enduring trust of multiple generations at Eagle Creek Colony. We eagerly anticipate serving those to come.” – Tom Stensrud, President/ CEO of ADA

For Eagle Creek Colony, this story is bigger than flooring. It’s about resilience, growth, and staying loyal to what works. Down that gravel road in rural Saskatchewan, Eagle Creek Colony continues moving forward with innovation, dedication, its commitment to building an operation that will last for the next generation, and is supported by partners it can rely on, like ADA Enterprises.
